Use it the way YOU want. **Tips** * To help you find things later, create directories and organise the files that way. * Directory names can be according to topic, or it might be more useful to use year/month. * Zip large collections to save space. ## _Items_ directory This directory is is where the finished project assets are kept - i.e. the files that you will be using with customers or other 3rd parties, such as PDFs, jpgs, mp4. Things that are being created and edited such as doc, cad, svg, software sources, are to be placed in the Sources directory. **Tips** * Create directories for each bundle of objects you are creating i.e. flyers, advertisements, website, thing-xyz, so that you can navigate and find things easily. ### Items -> _Images_ directory This is where you could place finished images which you use for flyers, presentations, documents, websites, etc. **Advantages** * Everybody in the team knows where to find things * It separates the process _design and create_ and _library_. ### Items -> _Website_ directory This is an example directory of where you could place your finished Website ready for uploading to your website hosting server. **Tips** With the Boxxd Website Plugin you can easily create a website for your team, project, company or all three. You can use it as a 'company internal information' service to tell others what your team is doing. The editable website would be placed in the Sources directory. ## _Sources_ directory **Info** This directory is for the project assets sources - i.e. the files that are being created to build what ever you are wanting to do. Things that are being created or being built i.e. the main project assets, are to be placed in the Sources or Items directories. **Examples** Examples of how you could use the Works directory: * _Marketing:_ You would create a subdirectory called "Marketing" and you would have your list of advertisers, marketing plan, etc. there. * _Design:_ You would create a subdirectory called "Design" and you would place your style specification, 3rd party correspondence there. * _Legal:_ You would create a subdirectory called "Legal" and place all relevant documents that are needed for the project there. **Tips** * Create directories named after your major processes i.e. Marketing, Advertising * Have a look at the Boxxd Value Domain plugin - It offers a collection of standard names which can be used internally and with 3rd parties. It also has the advantage for small teams of giving an insight into other processes and therefore saving time and creating value.
