The use case

Project teams often need a directory where the project assets can be saved. Typical project assets can be:

  • General administrative correspondence
  • Contracts
  • Source files of the items which are being created during the project
  • The files of the finished items
  • Notes
  • List of TODOs
  • Presentation of what the project is about
  • The project Charta

The solution out of the boxxd

The Project°Boxxd offers a structured place as well as various tools to support the team with their work. It has:

  • A central Home file to document important information for the team and others, where the important documents can be listed, definition of the project charta, roles, responsibilities.
  • On a file server, the Home page acts as a mini website.
  • A Talk directory where project presentations can be saved and be magically presented when needed.
  • TODO as a long term memory of what to do,
  • Jotter of things to think about in the future,
  • Works directory where the administrative documentation can be saved
  • Sources directory where the source files i.e. drawing files, CAD files, software code, can be placed.
  • Items directory where the finished items can be saved.
  • Archive directory where old files can be placed.
  • Pre-configured set of directories based on the Value Domain Stack which can be used.
  • Templates to boost your efficiency.
  • An internal Help and FAQ which you can modify to help new teamers.

Extendable

The Home can easily be made into a quick public website by uploading it to a hosting server.

The boxxd can also be extended with a website plugin, so that the team can show others what the project is about, blog, inform about its status, deliverables, etc.
